Let’s keep football safe and enjoyable!

As a club we are committed & dedicated to ensuring every child or young person, who plays or participates in football at Ashurst Wood JFC should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected during their time with the club. We have a responsibility to ensure duty of care in safeguarding all children involved in its activities from possible harm. The welfare of children and young people accessing our club activities is our top priority.

All children have a right to protection regardless of their age, gender, disability, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.

Our club welfare officers will ensure safety and protection of all children involved in their activities through adherence to the child protection guidelines.

New Heading Rules


Following trials lasting two years, The FA has now introduced new rules effective from season 24/25 to phase out deliberate heading in matches in all affiliated grassroots youth football between U7s and U11s level over the next three seasons.
